About the North Texas Spoke

The effort to create a spoke in the DFW area started in May 2006 with a series of monthly Fellowship rides, advertised primarily through a posting on bikejournal.com .  3 or 4 riders showed up each month.

In December 2006, a posting was made on the Texas Bike Racing Association (TXBRA) forum that IC3 was forming a local race team.  2 brothers joined right away.  Shortly after that, 2 more joined, one a racer and one a recreational mountain biker.  We have since been adding a new member every month or two and are almost at the IC3 goal of 10-12 solid, contributing members that are reuired for official spoke status.

In April 2007, we started having regular (un)official IC3 club rides and created this site.  The Fellowship Rides continue, and IC3 members are racing in vaious places around the DFW area as well as in far-flung places such as Fayetteville, TX.

In 2007, we hosted an Individual Time Trial series, and manned a booth and tent at the 2007 Hotter'n Hell Hundred.  God willing, we will be doing these events again in 2008. Please see the events page for more details.

IC3 is about fellowship and reaching those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ.  Racing is not a requirement.  Riding is not a requirement.  If you are a Christian and are a cyclist or just enjoy the cycling community, you are a welcome brother or sister.  We have room for everyone here.
